Michael
Hungbo.
Software engineer, technical writer, and geneticist. I build software products and architect documentation for them.

Background
I have my first degree in genetics, a discipline which taught me to care deeply about precision and clarity. These skills transferred perfectly into software development and technical writing.
Over the past five years I've built web applications with JavaScript, React, and Next.js, while simultaneously writing developer-facing content for companies like Cloudinary, Minexa.ai, CustomGPT.ai, and Proxycurl. The overlap between building and explaining is where I do my best work.
I'm currently co-lead at The Good Docs Project, where I help shape templates and standards for open-source documentation. I'm also exploring developer relations as a discipline — building bridges between products and the developers who use them.
